rn in Blackjack, an all-black settlement in Oklahoma, Carmelia Clincy spent her childhood in southern California. Although she attended the MFA writing program at UCI, California, she received a BA degree in Comparative Culture. She returned to Oklahoma as an adult and retired from case management at EWCC, a minimum-security for women in Taft, Oklahoma.
Carmelia Clincy is married, a mother and a grandmother. She published several articles and a short story with the Muskogee Phoenix Newspaper and several other articles with newspapers throughout the state. May 2009 Ms. Clincy published Three Hots and A Cot.
Growing herbs and vegetables, playing the piano, painting, drawing, browsing in libraries and bookstores, traveling and people watching are a joy for the author; reading and writing prose and poetry are her passions.
