| Emma Samanda Sorenson has
been given an old, worn leather journal by her mother. A
journal written by an aunt revealing secrets of Pleasant
Springs’ legendary Kinsman family. Her desire to find
out what happened to her missing aunt and the unexpected
need to learn more about the legacy of madness written in
the journal turns her life toward the past to find the future.
Royal Kinsman, named after his great-great grandfather,
has been “blessed” with part of a legacy left
by his great-great grandparents. Royal fought most of his
life against being the exact likeness of Samuel. A curse
that haunted him through his teen years from puberty to
his current life, causing him to swear off marriage, commitment
and producing a Kinsman heir. There is more to the legacy
than just looks. Madness was spoken of through the years,
driving many of Royal's ancestors over the edge. Or into
the past to find the love of a lifetime. A love to equal
that of Samuel and Josephine Kinsman, and no other.
An old worn family journal
sets off an incredible adventure of suspense, time travel,
and romance in the middle of the Civil War, with a mix of
ghosts, humor, and mystery thrown in as a bonus! Debbie
Fritter has written a thrilling paranormal romance, just
named BOOK OF THE YEAR by Fallen Angel Reviews. I’m
pleased to cite Debbie Fritter for writing excellence for
her book A LEGACY THROUGH TIME, my Publisher’s Pick
for May 2006!

Reviews
for A LEGACY THROUGH TIME by Debbie Fritter
…This was a lovely time travel romance with a few funny
ghosts! These characters had me laughing one minute, and a chill
up my spine the next. The story was woven with humor and mystery,
and sprinkled throughout with spirits. Add in the plot, and you
have an entertaining read. Although there was no sex between the
hero and heroine, the sexual tension was sizzling. If you love
a romantic old fashion time travel romance, this is the read for
you. Wateena, Reviewer for Karen Find Out About New Books, Reviewer

Emma Johnson needs a place to live and the deserted Kinsman house
needs her. At least she thinks it does. As soon as she enters the
front doe, she knows she is home. When she meets Royal Kinsman,
her handsome landlord, immediately intrigues her. That is until
he forbids her access to the attic.
Royal has decided never to marry and in so doing avoid the curse
that has followed the Kinsman family since the Civil War. As soon
as he meets Emma, he knows his vow will be hard to keep than he
ever thought.
When Emma is driven to the forbidden attic by spiritual forces,
she stumbles on to a doorway to the past and finds herself in the
middle of the Civil War where she meets not only Grandfather Samuel
Kinsman, but also Royal’s uncle who disappeared years earlier.
In desperation, Royal opens the forbidden doorway once again and
joins the fight not only between North and South but also between
past and future.
Ms. Fritter has penned an excellent story that brings alive the
battles fought by the Iron Brigade. At the same time she has opened
a doorway for those from the twenty first century to go back in
time. For anyone intrigued by history and time travel, this is a
must read.
