© 2006, Barbara Baldwin Reviews For CHRISTMAS QUILT ANTHOLOGY by Barbara Baldwin "If you love Christmas you will
enjoy CHRISTMAS QUILT ANTHOLOGY by Barbara Baldwin. The stories contained
within could melt the heart of the worst Scrooge…Each story is
unique and different and like the individual blocks of a quilt when
sewn together form a beautiful picture of Christmas." Christmas
Quilt Anthology is such a special book that I don’t really know
how to describe it but basically it’s about Christmas. But not
about Christmas like lots of people know it these days. It’s not
about the presents, it’s about family values and family spirit.
About the real meaning of Christmas, how Christmas should be. There’s
plenty of love in this book. Barbara Baldwin has written a heart-touching
book. Reading this anthology made me feel partly sad, but in the meanwhile
also partly good. And that’s what makes it so special. Barbara
Baldwin reminds readers of the warmth and love of Christmas within the
pages of Christmas Quilt Anthology…This anthology is comprised
of a several stories, letters, and poems which individually convey the
innocence of children, the devotion of parents, and the wonder of a
season when miracles happen… There are lighter moments throughout
the anthology that will have you chuckling and nodding your head in
agreement…Barbara Baldwin’s delivery is a personal, heartfelt
addition to Christmas and ensures there is something for everyone in
Christmas Quilt Anthology. “The
Christmas Quilt Anthology is a collection of stories, fictional memories,
essays and poems. It takes us on a delightful journey through what will
be, to most readers, a familiar landscape of Christmas memories. Some
are set far back in history and some are set in modern times, some are
connected, some are not. All will delight the reader. Sample

The title story—“The Christmas Quilt”—came into being exactly as it states in the opening paragraphs. My sister, an avid quilter, had shown me the quilt top she rescued at an auction. It certainly didn’t hold the same fascination for me, until she started wondering about the people behind the quilt and what their stories might have been. Now that, I could get into, and my imagination took flight. I wrote “The Christmas Quilt” for my sister, but the next year I turned it into a story card and sent it to my friends and family at Christmas. The following year, another story was born for the holiday season, and thus began a tradition that I can’t seem to stop. When I created the fifth Christmas story card, I wrote “fifth and last in the series” on the cover, but I had so many friends comment they didn’t want me to stop, that I began an encore series. One year,
because the Christmas season is a time for
family, friends and sharing, I asked those
same family and friends to help me create
