A native Texan, Vicky J. Rose’s
ancestors fought at San Jacinto, got gut-shot in their
front yard with arrows, stood up with Sam Houston in
the Texas legislature in his struggle to keep Texas
out of the Confederacy, while still others did battle
for that Confederacy and soldiered in WWII. She, however,
lives a quiet life in Central Texas and tries to mind
her own business.
