| I
have always been an avid reader until writing caught my fancy,
and it has somewhat taken over most of my spare time. I find that
writing is essentially the same as reading, only the book is from
within your own mind and heart. I am a single mother, raising
my beautiful daughter. I spent thirteen years as a medical assistant
until I truly burned out on the profession, realizing it really
wasn't for me. I began writing when I took a sabbatical from work
altogether about three years ago when I was still married and
able to do such a thing. I've written several novels of different
genres, but the death of my good friend, I believe truly brought
out the style with which I was meant to write. Snowblind is my
first work to be accepted for publication. As crazy as it may
seem, I now tend bar at a popular local nightclub near my home
in South Haven, Indiana. It is truly a fun job that I enjoy immensely,
and gather much of the "street smarts" I use in my manuscripts.
This, along with my medical background is usually the basis to
my contemperary works. My spare time is spent with my daughter
as much as possible, and I also enjoy emailing my friends and
family, but mostly I simply write.
