Michael C. Keith is the author of over two dozen books.
Among his many titles are a critically acclaimed memoir
(The Next Better Place), a second collection of short
stories (And Through the Trembling Air), a young adult
novel (Life is Falling Sideways), and twenty books
on media (Radio Cultures, Voices in the Purple Haze,
Talking Radio, Sounds in the Dark, etc.). He is a professor
of communication at Boston College and the recipient
of numerous awards in his field. He has been nominated
for a Pushcart Prize and a PEN/O.Henry Award for his
