Kristy McCaffrey’s love of storytelling began as a child with Charlotte’s Web and Nancy Drew mysteries, expanded to Pride and Prejudice and took off with her first viewing of Star Wars at the age of ten. Narratives full of myth and the power of the human spirit have long drawn her interest. Although she has always written in some form since she was very young she didn’t attempt her first novel-length manuscript until the age of 33. Born and raised in Arizona she turned to the fabled old west for a bit of drama and good ol’ fun for her first efforts.

Ms. McCaffrey lives in western Pennsylvania with her salesman husband and four young children. Her days are quite full coordinating her children’s activities, assisting with her husband’s company and researching and writing her next book.
