Karen McMillan lives in New
Zealand. She writes both fiction and non-fiction.
Her first book, Unbreakable Spirit, features 25 inspirational
true-life stories of people facing cancer with courage. Love
in Aotearoa (Love Bytes in the UK) is a heart-warming celebration
of love in all its forms. Feast or Famine takes a revealing
and thought-provoking look at the problem of eating difficulties
in our modern world. Shaggy Dog and Fishy Cat Tales is a gently
humorous gift book that celebrates the feline and canine characters
that share and enrich our lives and will be published in the
UK late in 2007.
Karen has a Diploma of Professional Writing and an Advanced
Diploma of Applied Arts (Writing). Love in Aotearoa was short
listed for the Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust Award in 2005.
Previously an award-winning fashion designer, Karen has worked
full time for a photographic book publisher based in New Zealand
for the past seven years. Karen has written articles for a variety
of different publications. She also volunteers for her local
hospice and writes articles that promote the life-affirming
work that they do. Watching Over Me is her first novel.
