Except for two years
on Okinawa with her Air Force husband, Ms. Evlin has lived all
her life in the Pacific Northwest. She has spent the last nineteen
years in Skagit County, Washington, the fictionalized setting
of Ginger Gold. Although she has never had the good fortune to
own a horse, her daughter and granddaughter own and train them.
She has never outgrown her childhood admiration for horses, and
they continue to play important roles in her novels.
