Billie Houston aka Barri Bryan, is a native Texan. She is also a former teacher and educator. She holds a BA in history and an MA in educational psychology from The University Of Texas in San Antonio. Her first poetry book titled "Flawed Words And Stubborn Sounds" was published in 1995.

Besides writing poetry Billie co-writes romantic novels with her husband, Herb.
