author and charter member of Jewels of the Quill, Barbara Raffin

TIME OUT OF MIND (Hard Shell Word
Factory) was ranked in the top three paranormal romances by an
Affaire de Coeur on-line poll and garnered a 4½ star review
from AdC whose reviewer called TIME... “a powerful novel.”
TIME... further earned 4½ stars from Jane Toombs for Scribes
World who called the book “a stunning, evocative and suspenseful
love story that leaps off the pages into the reader’s heart.”
Romantic Times reviewer Kathy Boswell gave TIME... 4 stars and

with a resume full of awards, having finaled in almost every competition

Not a writer to limit herself,
Barbara Raffin’s third release, THE INDENTURED HEART (Awe-Struck
eBooks), delved into shipbuilding when colonial America was about
to become a power in that industry. Winner in its category of
Affaire de Coeur’s on-line poll and taking 2nd place in
The Lories’ Best Published Historical, HEART has been called
“gloriously written with raw emotion and red hot passion”
by Romance Review and “a gripping, spellbinding tale of
two people who desperately need what the other has, but are afraid

In 2005, Barbara’s paranormal
tendencies will take her readers into the realm of cloning with
a story she calls Starman meets The Terminator. THE VISITOR will
be an Awe-Struck release. Also scheduled for a 2005 release is
her short story “The Sting of Romance”, a humorous
romantic quickie to be published by Arabesque magazine. In December
2004, Barbara (writing as Roxi Romano) began applying her humorous
side to her debut Romantica novel FANTASIES R US, an Ellora’s
Cave release.
Having actively promoted herself
and having organized successful group book signings since 2001,
Barbara eagerly jumped at the chance to expand her fan base with
the help of other writers. In addition to links from Barbara Raffin’s
